Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 55 to 80 years with unilateral knee osteoarthritis undergoing conservative treatment; meeting the diagnostic criteria of the "Guidelines for Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis (2023 Edition)"; Kellgren-Lawrence grading of I to II; no mental abnormalities, able to communicate accurately; no systematic use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, glucocorticoids, or intra-articular injection agents in the past month; body mass index of 18.5 to 28 kg/m²; willing to participate in the trial with good compliance, and agree to join this research study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who do not meet the inclusion criteria; non-primary knee osteoarthritis, such as gouty arthritis, hemophilic arthritis, etc.; severe varus or valgus deformities of the knee joint (deformity angle >15°) with (or without) ankylosis (knee joint range of motion <90°), or accompanied by severe bone defects; patients with significant systemic functional disorders or severe chronic cardiovascular diseases; patients with skin abrasions, ulcers, or local infections who are unsuitable for topical ointment application; patients who have undergone knee surgery in the past six months; patients with other diseases accompanied by lower extremity pain, such as lumbar disc herniation or lumbar spinal stenosis; individuals engaged in professional sports or physically demanding occupations; patients with a history of lower extremity vascular lesions.
