Case group (Sarcopenia group):Observational study with no intervention. Only standardized questionnaire surveys, body composition measurements, and biological sample collection will be conducted.

50 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Case group: Meet the diagnostic criteria for sarcopenia; Control group: Non-sarcopenic individuals during the same period; (2) Age = 50 years, no gender restrictions; (3) Basic self-care ability in activities of daily living, and capable of independently cooperating to complete the required walking and physical performance tests; (4) Voluntarily participate in this study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Individuals with an implanted cardiac pacemaker, or coexisting severe/uncontrolled cardiovascular diseases, wasting diseases (e.g., malignancies), or active infectious diseases; (2) Patients with Alzheimer's disease, psychiatric disorders, or other cognitive/mental impairments who are unable to cooperate with the survey and physical tests; (3) Long-term use of oral corticosteroids, muscle relaxants, or other medications known to affect muscle metabolism; (4) Currently participating in other interventional clinical trials.
