Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Clinical or pathologically diagnosed type 2 diabetic kidney disease. 2) First visit to the outpatient or inpatient department between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2024. 3) Age = 18 years. 4) New-onset 24-hour urinary protein = 0.5 g, or urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) = 300 mg/g or 30 mg/mmol at initial diagnosis or during follow-up. 5) eGFR = 15 mL/min/1.73 m².

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with other types of kidney diseases (e.g., ANCA-associated nephritis, lupus nephritis, membranous nephropathy, IgA nephropathy, etc.); 2. Patients with a history of acute kidney injury, dialysis, or kidney transplantation; 3. Patients with a solitary kidney due to congenital causes, trauma, surgery, or other reasons, or those with a history of cirrhosis or malignant tumors; 4. Patients with missing baseline data on urinary protein, renal function, or other critical parameters, or without follow-up data; 5. Patients with a follow-up period of less than 12 months.
