Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Age 60-75 years; (2) Meets the diagnostic criteria for primary insomnia as per the third edition of the International Classification of Sleep Disorders; (3) Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score >5 points before treatment; (4) Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score <26 points; (5) Without comorbid mental disorders such as depression and anxiety, or neurological diseases such as stroke, dementia, Parkinson's disease, or chronic pain; (6) Have not engaged in regular physical exercise for the past three months (at least 3 times per week, each session lasting at least 20 minutes); (7) Right-handed; (8) Able to understand and cooperate, voluntarily participate, and sign the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Short Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-15) score = 9 points; (2) History of taking any antipsychotic medication within the past month; (3) Uncontrolled hypertension (systolic blood pressure > 180 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure 11%); (5) Unable to cooperate with Tai Chi training or tACS protocols, such as those with motor dysfunction caused by neurological diseases, musculoskeletal system diseases, severe organ diseases, or other contraindications for exercise; (6) Presence of metal substances implanted in the brain; (7) Unable to complete outcome assessments, such as severe aphasia, sensory impairments, or illiteracy; (8) Currently participating in other research studies that may affect the results of this study.
