Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Inclusion criteria for subjects with sub-health due to spleen qi deficiency: 1) Meets the definition of sub-health in the *Clinical Guidelines for Sub-health in Traditional Chinese Medicine* published by the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine; 2) Meets the syndrome criteria for spleen qi deficiency in the *Guidelines for New Traditional Chinese Medicine Drugs*; 3) Right-handed; 4) Age between 18 and 40 years old; 5) High school education or above; 6) Mini-Wechsler IQ test score > 80; 7) Health status assessment questionnaire score of 60–79; 8) Mini-Mental Health Assessment Scale score 80; 5) Health status assessment questionnaire score = 80 with no positive items; 6) Physical examination confirming good health, with no organic or significant functional diseases; no sub-health symptoms; 7) No family history of any neurological or mental system genetic diseases; 8) No use of any stimulant drugs in the past two months; 9) No contraindications for MRI scan.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Exclusion criteria for subjects with spleen qi deficiency syndrome in a sub-healthy state: 1) Patients with organic diseases; 2) Those with serious primary diseases such as cardiovascular, hypertension, digestive, hematopoietic, liver, and kidney diseases; 3) Those who cannot understand and cooperate with the examination; 4) Those with severe asymmetry in cranial anatomy or clear lesions found in MRI scans. (2) Exclusion criteria for healthy controls: 1) Those with severe asymmetry in cranial anatomy or clear lesions found in MRI scans; 2) Those with related diseases of neurological dysfunction; 3) Those who cannot cooperate in completing this study.
