Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Age = 65 years; (2) Meets the definition of critically ill patients, with an APACHE II score greater than 18; (3) Nutritional Risk Screening (NRS) score = 2 points; (4) Patients with a nasogastric tube in place for enteral nutrition; (5) Patients without other acute or chronic gastrointestinal diseases prior to admission; (6) Patients who agree to participate in this study and have signed the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal dysfunction-related diseases; 2. Patients who are unable to assume the required treatment position due to their condition; 3. Patients with local skin breakdown, abscess, infection, or significant coagulation or hematopoietic system dysfunction at the site of acupuncture application; 4. Patients allergic to any of the drugs used in the study protocol; 5. Patients whose APACHE II score is outside the inclusion criteria range, specifically less than 18 points; 6. Patients with intestinal ischemia, obstruction, or infarction, or other contraindications for enteral nutrition, making it impossible to implement enteral nutrition; 7. Patients or their families who refuse to participate or withdraw from the study.
