Restless Legs Syndrome in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients

Interventions

Intervention Group:In addition to usual care, patients received supervised Baduanjin exercise. This regimen consisted of the eight standardized movements from the 2003 official video issued by the Chi
Control Group:Usual care consisted of regular hemodialysis, routine health monitoring, and nursing guidance, excluding any form of Baduanjin intervention.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age 18-80 years; 2) International Restless Legs Syndrome Rating Scale (IBLS) score <30; 3) Meet the 2014 international diagnostic criteria for restless legs syndrome: 1) A strong desire to move the lower limbs, often accompanied by discomfort in the lower limbs or discomfort leading to the desire to move the lower limbs; 2) A strong desire to move and any accompanying discomfort occur during rest or inactivity (such as when the patient is sitting or lying down), or are aggravated by rest and inactivity; 3) The strong desire to move and the accompanying discomfort can be partially or completely relieved during activity (such as walking or stretching the legs); 4) The strong desire to move and the accompanying discomfort worsen in the evening or at night, or occur only in the evening or at night; 5) The above clinical symptoms cannot be simply explained by another disease or phenomenon; 4) Voluntary participation and signed informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Those who have taken anti-sedative, anti-epileptic, antidepressant, or anti-RLS drugs within 30 days before enrollment; 2) Those with serum ferritin levels <75µg/L or transferrin saturation <30%; 3) Those with poor adherence; 4) Those with limited limb mobility; 5) Those with malignant tumors, severe infections, multiple organ dysfunction, or unstable vital signs
