Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: Participants must meet the following inclusion criteria: aged between 18 and 70 years, with a clear diagnosis, such as spinal cord injury ASIA grading C or D, post-stroke Brunnstrom stages III or IV, able to cooperate in completing the training, and voluntarily sign the informed consent form. Inclusion Criteria: Requirements for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) symptoms must comply with the diagnostic criteria for qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome or liver-kidney deficiency syndrome as outlined in the "TCM Guidelines for Stroke" or the "Expert Consensus on TCM Rehabilitation Diagnosis and Treatment for Spinal Cord Injury." For qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome, main symptoms include limb weakness and softness, pale complexion, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Secondary symptoms include palpitations, spontaneous sweating, dark or ecchymotic tongue, thin white coating, and fine,or weak pulse. For liver-kidney deficiency syndrome, main symptoms include limb weakness and softness, soreness and weakness in the waist and knees, dizziness, and tinnitus. Secondary symptoms include dry throat, red tongue with little coating, and fine rapid pulse. Diagnostic methods: Two TCM physicians with intermediate or higher titles independently conduct the Four Diagnostic Methods (observation, auscultation and olfaction, inquiry, and palpation), and use the "TCM Syndrome Scoring Scale for Stroke" or similar standardized tools for assessment. In case of inconsistent judgments, a third senior TCM physician will arbitrate. Requirements for TCM constitution: Refer to the "Classification and Determination of TCM Constitutions" standard by the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After evaluation using the "TCM Constitution Identification Scale," participants must be classified as one of the following constitutions: qi deficiency, yang deficiency, phlegm-dampness, or balanced constitution.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria include individuals with severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, cognitive impairments, or participation in other intervention trials. Exclusion criteria also include those with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) pattern identification of excessive heat toxicity, sudden hyperactivity of liver yang, or other excess and heat syndromes; those who have taken strong blood-activating and stasis-resolving agents or liver and kidney tonifying formulations that may significantly affect the study results within the past month, except for those who have been taking Danshen tablets (a stable dose of traditional Chinese medicine) for more than three months; and individuals classified as having a special constitution (tebingshi) according to the "TCM Constitution Classification and Determination," as their special constitution may result in different responses to interventions compared to the general population.
