Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: According to the 1994 diagnostic criteria for chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) formulated by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a diagnosis requires meeting the following two core criteria: 1.Persistent or relapsing fatigue lasting for more than 6 months; 2.Exclusion of all organic diseases that could cause chronic fatigue, based on medical history, physical signs, and laboratory test results. In addition, the patient must present with at least 4 out of the following 8 symptoms: 1) Impaired short-term memory or inability to concentrate; 2)Sore throat; 3)Tender lymph nodes; 4)Muscle aches and pains; 5)Arthralgia without accompanying redness or swelling; 6)New-onset headaches; 7)Unrefreshing sleep; 8)Post-exertional malaise lasting for more than 24 consecutive hours following physical or mental exertion

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)No primary complaint of fatigue, or fewer than four accompanying symptoms; 2)Fatigue that is relieved by rest; 3)Fatigue that does not result in a meaningful decline in work capacity, educational,participation/attainment, social activities, recreational activities, or ability to perform activities of daily living; 4)Presence of a definite medical condition known to cause fatigue (e.g., malignancy, diabetes mellitus, rheumatic/autoimmune disease); 5)Severe cardiac, pulmonary, hepatic, or renal dysfunction, or thyroid dysfunction; 6)Current or past diagnosis of a major psychiatric disorder; 7)Pregnant or breastfeeding women; 8)Use of any pharmacological or non-pharmacological treatment for fatigue within 7 days prior to enrolment; 9)Concurrent participation in another clinical trial
