Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed with UC according to the diagnostic criteria, with the disease in the active phase and classified as mild to moderate severity; 2. Lesion extent is of the rectal type and left-sided colonic type; 3. Diagnosed by TCM as the damp-heat pattern of the large intestine; 4. Aged between 18 and 65 years, with no restriction on gender; 5. Voluntarily participates and signs the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients in the lactation period, pregnancy, or preparing for pregnancy. 2. Patients with severe complications, such as local stenosis, intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, rectal polyps, toxic colonic dilation, colon cancer, rectal cancer, and anal diseases. 3. Patients with severe diseases of major organs such as heart, liver, and kidneys, hematopoietic system, nervous system, or mental disorders. 4. Patients allergic to the drugs used in this study or prone to allergic reactions. 5. Patients currently participating in other clinical trials.
