Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1: Aged 5–16 years old 2: meeting the diagnostic criteria of both traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine for severe Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia with the syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung in children 3: having signed informed consent from the patients and their guardians, who are willing to receive the treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1: Presence of any other systemic infectious symptoms, including infections of the skin, circulatory system, urinary system, and digestive system 2: Complicated by other respiratory infectious diseases such as bronchial asthma and pulmonary tuberculosis. 3: History of unexplained long-term fever and joint swelling/pain; no history of autoimmune diseases. 4: Use of immunosuppressive agents and immunomodulators within the past 2 months, such as immunoglobulin, interferon, etc.; history of recent or long-term glucocorticoid use.
