Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age = 18 years old; 2. Hospitalized at our institution between January 1, 2018, and September 10, 2025; 3. Medical records meet Western medical diagnostic criteria for heart failure; 4. Patients with complete echocardiogram reports during hospitalization, clearly documenting inferior venous diameter measurements and inspiratory collapse rate, or pulmonary artery systolic pressure and tricuspid regurgitation pressure gradient values; 5. Medical records contain relatively complete documentation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) four diagnostic methods sufficient for TCM syndrome differentiation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing mechanical ventilation during hospitalization, which may affect the accuracy of IVC measurements; 2. Patients with documented severe restrictive pericardial disease; 3. Patients with documented malignant tumors or other terminal illnesses, with an expected survival period of <1 year; 4. Patients with severely incomplete TCM diagnostic data, rendering syndrome differentiation impossible.
