Interventions

Nerve stimulation group:Electrical stimulation at Shen Ting (GV24), Nei Guan (PC6), and San Yin Jiao (SP6) acupoints
Control Group:Routine induction, maintenance, and postoperative analgesia are performed.

65 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients over 65 years old who are receiving general anesthesia. Patient inclusion criteria: 1) ASA grade II-III; 2) Age 65-85 years old; 3) BMI<25 kg/m ².

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: 1) Severe preoperative cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases; 2) Severe preoperative hepatic/renal dysfunction; 3) Infection at acupoint stimulation sites; 4) Perioperative consciousness disorders.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Incidence of POD on postoperative day 7. Record CAM scores on postoperative days 3, 5, and 7.;

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Postoperative VAS scores at 3, 5, and 7 days;Peripheral blood levels of TNF-a, IL-1ß, and IL-6 at 3, 5, and 7 days postoperatively;
