35 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Bilateral KOA meeting the above diagnostic criteria, right-handed, regardless of gender, aged 38–75 years, with an educational level of junior high school or above; 2. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score = 3 and = 7; 3. No history of neurological or psychiatric disorders; 4. Participants or their relatives are aware of the study protocol, agree to participate, and sign relevant documents such as the "Informed Consent Form."

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with other chronic pain conditions, such as myofascial strain, cervical spondylosis, intervertebral disc herniation, postherpetic neuralgia, or periarthritis of the shoulder; 2. Patients with indications for knee joint surgery, such as significant narrowing of the knee joint space, intra-articular loose bodies, or fractures; 3. Patients with accompanying conditions including tumors, rheumatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, tuberculosis, or suppurative infections; 4. Patients who have used any anti-inflammatory or analgesic medications within the past week; 5. Patients with skin diseases or secondary infections around the joint area; 6. Pregnant or lactating women, or patients with chronic diseases such as hypertension or diabetes; 7. Patients with a history of major illnesses, head trauma, neuropsychiatric disorders, or other conditions that may affect brain activity; 8. Patients with cognitive impairment, defined as a Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score < 27; 9. Patients with contraindications to magnetic resonance imaging (including claustrophobia); 10. Patients who refuse to sign the Informed Consent Form.
