Acute Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding

Interventions

Control group:Correcting water and electrolyte imbalances, fluid replacement, restoring blood volume, and acid suppression to protect the stomach lining.
Observation Group:Add Ginseng, Bletilla, and Licorice Decoction to the basic treatment of the control group.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1)Age = 18 years;(2)Meeting the primary Western medical diagnostic criteria for acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding, with reference to the Expert Consensus on Emergency Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding (2021 Edition);(3)Meeting the primary Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic criteria for hematochezia, hematemesis, or Xue Tuo Bing with the pattern of Spleen Failing to Govern Blood, with reference to the Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Diseases in Internal Medicine of TCM-Hematemesis/Hematochezia (2008) published by the China Association of Chinese Medicine;(4)Hospitalization duration = 5 days;(5)Glasgow-Blatchford score >1 and <6;(6)Signed informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Incomplete medical record information;(2) Patients with contraindications to relevant medications; (3) Breastfeeding or pregnant women;(4) Patients with coagulation disorders, severe organ failure (e.g., hepatic, renal, cardiac, pulmonary), malignant tumors, or diabetes;(5) Patients who voluntarily discharge themselves or are transferred to another hospital for any reason;
