Secondary lymphedema due to cancer (secondary lymphedema)

Interventions

Intervention Group:Acupuncture therapy: once a week for acupuncture and twice a week for moxibustion, with treatments administered every other day. Moxibustion is applied to abdominal acupoints (Guany
acupuncture targets acupoints on the edematous affected limbs (upper limbs: He Gu, Wai Guan, etc.
lower limbs: Jie Xi, Zu Sanli, etc.
face: Xia Guan, Ying Xiang, etc.).
Control Group:Manual lymphatic therapy for lymphedema: once a week for 30 minutes, including lymphatic drainage of the upper/lower limbs and head and neck region, using techniques such as circumductio

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Cancer patients; 2. Postoperative or post-radiochemotherapy lymphedema in upper or lower limbs; 3. Aged 18-75 years old; 4. Able to attend hospital for treatment; 5. Agree to participate in this study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with skin abnormalities such as macules, vesicles, trauma, or ulcers on the affected limb or other areas; 2. Severe lymphedema: The limb exhibits elephantiasis-like changes, accompanied by frequent episodes of lymphangitis and numerous verrucous growths; 3. Pregnant women or those planning to become pregnant; 4. Currently suffering from tumor metastasis, cellulitis, venous thrombosis, or chronic inflammatory diseases; 5. Individuals allergic to moxibustion who cannot undergo moxibustion therapy; 6. Patients unable to independently complete assessment scales; 7. Patients with a history of severe trauma or infection in the affected limb.
