Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Age between 18 and 65 years old; (2) Meet the diagnostic criteria for perennial allergic rhinitis; (3) Currently experiencing symptoms, able to accurately describe their condition, and willing to provide informed consent and participate in the clinical study. Allergic rhinitis (AR) patients are diagnosed based on the following criteria: (1) Symptoms: Two or more of the following symptoms occur: paroxysmal sneezing, clear rhinorrhea, nasal itching, and nasal congestion. Symptoms persist or accumulate for more than 1 hour per day, and may be accompanied by tearing, eye itching, and redness of the eyes; (2) Signs: Common signs include pale and edematous nasal mucosa, and clear secretions in the nasal cavity; (3) Allergen testing: At least one allergen shows positive results in SPT (skin prick test) and/or specific IgE in serum, or positive results in nasal provocation test.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) History of respiratory tract infection or acute sinusitis within the past 14 days; (2) Chest X-ray showing signs of inflammation; (3) History of chronic sinusitis or confirmed by X-ray examination; (4) Presence of organic nasal lesions or recent nasal surgery; (5) Diagnosed with asthma or other paroxysmal respiratory diseases; (6) Use of H1 antihistamines, steroids, decongestants, or other medications affecting the respiratory system within the past 14 days; (7) Received specific immunotherapy or systemic hormone therapy in the past year; (8) Undergone acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, Chinese herbal nasal inhalation, or other traditional therapies within the past 14 days; (9) Contraindications (e.g., bleeding tendencies), mental disorders, pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
