Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1: Clinically diagnosed chronic pelvic pain associated with pelvic floor myofascial pain syndrome 2: Average NRS pain score =4 points over the preceding week 3: Females aged 18 years or above 4: History of sexual activity; Ethics Committee of Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine 5: No prior relevant treatment within one month preceding enrolment 6: Voluntary participation in this clinical trial, ability to comply with trial protocols, and signing of informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1: Where physical examination and ancillary investigations confirm a diagnosis of disease causing pain (such as interstitial cystitis) 2: Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy or breastfeeding in the near future 3: Those presenting with concomitant vaginal bleeding, vaginitis, or acute pelvic inflammatory disease 4: Patients with malignant tumours 5: Those with a history of neurosurgery, psychiatric surgery, or pelvic floor-related procedures 6: Individuals with concurrent severe primary diseases such as cardiovascular or cerebrovascular conditions 7: Patients with localised skin lesions or impaired temperature sensation at the treatment site, those presenting with severe yin deficiency with fire excess or real heat syndromes, or individuals allergic to ginger juice or moxa smoke
