Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Diagnostic criteria: Western medicine diagnostic criteria: The diagnostic criteria for knee osteoarthritis (KOA) in Western medicine are based on the "Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Osteoarthritis (2018 Edition)" published in 2018: 1) recurrent knee joint pain in the past month; 2) X-ray findings of decreased joint space, subchondral bone sclerosis, cystic degeneration, or osteophyte formation around the joint; 3) morning stiffness =30 minutes; 4) crepitation during movement. Patients meeting 1) and any one of 2) to 4) can be diagnosed with KOA. Kellgren-Lawrence (K-L) grading criteria: Grade 0: normal joint space appearance, no osteophytes; Grade I: joint space narrowing, possible osteophytes; Grade II: suspected joint space narrowing, obvious osteophytes; Grade III: obvious joint space narrowing, sclerotic changes, moderate amount of osteophytes; Grade IV: obvious joint space narrowing, severe sclerotic changes and obvious deformities, large amount of osteophytes. 1) meets the diagnostic criteria for KOA; 2) gender is not limited, aged between 35 and 65 years; 3) visual analog scale (VAS) score of the knee joint at rest exceeds 4 points; 4) no knee joint surgery; 5) no mental or behavioral disorders; 6) agrees to participate in this study and signs the informed consent form. 7) refers to the "Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines for Traditional Chinese Orthopedics and Traumatology - Knee Arthralgia" as belonging to the cold-damp blood stasis type.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) There is trauma or skin disease around the knee joint; 2) Individuals with skin temperature sensory impairment; 3) Individuals with comorbidities such as rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatoid joint disease, gout, and other knee joint pain diseases; 4) Individuals with severe genu varum and genu recurvatum deformities and flexion contracture; 5) Individuals with severe comorbidities such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and malignant tumors; 6) Individuals with conditions prohibited by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination; 7) Individuals allergic to lidocaine.
