Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Patients scheduled for hemiarthroplasty or total hip arthroplasty under spinal anesthesia at two hospitals; 2) Patients aged =65 years old; 3) American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification I, II, or III (2020 edition); 4) Body Mass Index (BMI): 18–30 kg/m².
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1)Refusal to participate in this study; 2) Presence of contraindications for intrathecal anesthesia; 3) Patients with preoperative cognitive dysfunction; 4) Patients with recent history of sedative or antidepressant use; 5) Patients with concurrent central nervous system or psychiatric disorders; 6) Patients with severe diseases of major organs such as heart, brain, lungs, liver, or kidneys; 7) Patients with visual, auditory, or language communication impairments; 8) Patients with a history of delirium, dementia, or other psychiatric conditions.
