Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for stroke and constipation in both TCM and Western medicine, as well as the TCM diagnostic criteria for syndrome differentiation, and have constipation occurring after stroke. (2) Patients aged 35-75 years, with no restriction on gender. (3) Patients who have not taken any constipation-related medications in the 3 days prior to treatment (excluding emergency medications: glycerin suppositories), and have not received any measures related to the treatment of this condition, such as acupuncture injection, acupoint application, or Chinese herbal enema. (4) Patients with a stroke duration of more than 14 days and less than 6 months. (5) Patients who are conscious, have normal comprehension ability, no communication barriers, and can cooperate with scale assessments, and have signed an informed consent form (patients unable to sign due to physical disabilities, etc., may have their family members sign on their behalf).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) History of severe gastrointestinal-related diseases, such as digestive tract tumors, severe enteritis, intestinal obstruction, and severe primary diseases of the heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, endocrine system, or hematopoietic system; (2) Presence of clear surgical indications for gastrointestinal conditions; (3) Patients with other brain diseases such as encephalitis, epilepsy, or other cerebrovascular diseases such as moyamoya disease or venous sinus thrombosis; (4) Hypokalemic ileus; (5) Allergic constitution or allergy to drugs used in this study; (6) Patients with impaired consciousness, cognitive impairment, mental illness, or other reasons that prevent cooperation with relevant assessments, examinations, or treatments; (7) Participants who were involved in other clinical trials within 1 week prior to enrollment; (8) Pregnant, breastfeeding, or women planning to become pregnant.
