Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Western medical diagnosis: The primary diagnosis is coronary heart disease (including coronary heart disease stable angina pectoris unstable angina pectoris acute myocardial infarction acute coronary syndrome heart failure due to coronary heart disease and arrhythmia due to coronary heart disease); (2) Meets the diagnostic criteria for coronary heart disease (at least one of the following must be present): 1) Coronary angiography or coronary CT angiography (CTA) results show at least one major branch with a lumen diameter narrowed by more than 50% with or without angina heart failure arrhythmia or sudden cardiac death resuscitation; 2) Clear evidence of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction or non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction; 3) Clear history of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI); 4) Clear history of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG); (3) Age 30–80 years no gender restrictions; (4) Meets the diagnostic criteria for traditional Chinese medicine syndromes (qi deficiency yang deficiency blood stasis qi stagnation phlegm-dampness heat accumulation yin deficiency cold); (5) Willing to undergo acupuncture treatment and assessed by the investigator; (6) Signs an informed consent form and voluntarily participates in this study. Non-CAD Inclusion Criteria: 1): Presence of precordial discomfort symptoms such as chest pain/tightness/palpitations (onset or recurrence within the past 6 months); 2): Objective evidence ruling out obstructive CAD (data within the past 12 months): Coronary CTA/CAG showing no =50% stenosis; or comprehensive evaluation (negative myocardial injury markers + exercise/pharmacological stress testing or imaging demonstrating no ischemia). 3): Age 30–80 years, no gender restriction; 4): Willingness to undergo acupuncture treatment and approval by the investigator; 5): Signed informed consent and voluntarily participates in this study. Healthy Subject Inclusion Criteria: 1): No history of cardiovascular disease (CAD, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, stroke/peripheral vascular disease); 2): Normal general physical examination; 3): Resting 12-lead ECG essentially normal (isolated, clinically insignificant minor variations permitted); 4): No regular use of prescription medications affecting heart rate/ECG (e.g., beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, amiodarone). 5): Willing to undergo acupuncture treatment and assessed as suitable by the investigator; 6): Aged 18-60 years, no gender restrictions; 7): Signed informed consent form and voluntarily participates in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Non-ischaemic dilated cardiomyopathy or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with a history of moderate or severe valvular heart disease; (2) Haemodynamic instability (systolic blood pressure <90 mmHg or requiring vasoactive medications) or concomitant rapid arrhythmias second-degree or higher atrioventricular block or other severe arrhythmias that have not resolved; (3) Patients with significant thyroid dysfunction severe anaemia or other blood disorders that significantly impair circulatory blood supply; (4) Patients with connective tissue diseases (e.g. systemic lupus erythematosus rheumatoid arthritis dermatomyositis polyarteritis nodosa) complicated by cardiac complications; (5) Patients with severe renal dysfunction with an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) <30 mL/min or those currently undergoing dialysis; (6) Patients with malignant tumours and an expected survival period of no more than one year; (7) Patients with gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding or coagulation disorders; (8) Professional athletes pregnant or breastfeeding women or alcoholics; (9) Patients with acute or chronic diseases of other systems such as respiratory diseases or significant abnormalities in liver or kidney function; (10) Patients with acute infectious or contagious diseases; (11) Patients unable to undergo cardiac magnetic resonance imaging due to claustrophobia limb movement disorders or the presence of metal or other implanted devices that interfere with testing. Non-CAD Exclusion Criteria: 1): History of confirmed coronary artery disease (CAD)/myocardial infarction (MI)/percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)/coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG); chest pain clearly caused by non-CAD etiology and unsuitable for acupuncture/inclusion (e.g., acute pulmonary embolism, aortic dissection, gastroesophageal perforation, and other emergencies); 2): Other criteria identical to general exclusions (CAD group exclusions). Healthy Subject Exclusion Criteria: 1): Subjects with high-risk family history and suspected genetic cardiac/myocardial abnormalities (e.g., long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy) that remain uninvestigated; 2): Acute critical illness or major surgery within the past 3 months; 3): Other criteria identical to the general exclusion criteria (coronary heart disease group exclusions).
