Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: TC group: = 65 years of age; practiced Tai Chi regularly for over 5 years BW group: = 65 years of age; engaged in brisk walking regularly for over 5 years control group: = 65 years of age; had not engaged in any exercise regularly for more than five years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) presence of cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, or neurological diseases; (2) inability to live independently or perform daily activities; (3) visual impairment; 4) use of any medication affecting physical balance or the nervous system, such as sleeping pills or tranquillizers, within the past 6 months.
