Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Satisfaction of diagnostic criteria for diabetic cognitive impairment; 2) MMSE score greater than or equal to 10, and less than 27; MoCA score greater than or equal to 10, and less than 26; 3)Age greater than 65 and less than or equal to 75 years; 4)Clear mental status, stable vital signs, and the ability to cooperate in completing scale assessments; 5)Informed consent obtained from the patient or their immediate family members, who are willing to cooperate with the treatment.5)Informed consent obtained from the patient or their immediate family members, who are willing to cooperate with the treatment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1)Inability to participate in cognitive assessments due to visual impairment or aphasia; 2)Pre-existing cognitive impairment or a diagnosis of dementia prior to the onset of diabetes, or comorbidity with oncological diseases, systemic infections, or other neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease; 3)Inability to participate in the study due to psychiatric disorders, severe cognitive impairments, or emotional disturbances; 4)Presence of life-threatening conditions, including severe cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, or urinary tract diseases; 5)Absence of a long-term cohabitant or caregiver to provide assistance; 6)Participation in clinical trials related to acupuncture or cognitive impairment within the past month.
