Lumbar Disc Herniation, LDH

Interventions

Spinal Manipulation + Medication Group.:Patients in this group will receive spinal manipulation treatment, which involves a standardized two-step procedure of soft tissue manipulation followed by bone
Medication Group.:Patients in this group will orally receive the anti-inflammatory and analgesic medication (Celecoxib Capsules) at a dosage of 200 mg twice daily (BID) for the duration of the 2-week

20 Years to 50 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1).Healthy Controls: 1)No clinical symptoms of LDH (e.g., back pain, leg numbness) and no history of LDH. 2)Aged 20–50 years. 3)No recent treatments involving spinal manipulation, acupuncture, or physical therapy within one month. 4)Signed informed consent. (2).LDH Patients: 1)Diagnosed with LDH based on the 9th edition of Surgery criteria and confirmed via MRI. 2)Aged 20–50 years with single-segment L4/L5 disc herniation. 3)Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score =30/100. 4)Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) score =20. 5)No recent spinal manipulation, acupuncture, or physical therapy within one month. 6)Signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria 1)History of spinal surgery or severe spinal trauma. 2)Concurrent conditions such as spinal tuberculosis, tumors, or severe osteoporosis. 3)Severe systemic diseases (e.g., cardiovascular, hematological, or psychiatric disorders). 4)Pregnant or breastfeeding women. 5)Autoimmune diseases or other pain conditions causing functional impairments. 6)MRI findings indicating nucleus pulposus extrusion or cauda equina syndrome.
