Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Comply with the diagnostic criteria of knee osteoarthritis in both traditional Chinese and Western medicine; (2) Aged 40 to 75 years; (3) Kellgren-Lawrence grade is I to III; (4) No medication or physical therapy related to the knee joint has been received in the week before enrollment; (5) Average pain Numerical Rating Scale (NRS score) score over the past 1 week is =4 points; (6) No history of underlying diseases or other medical history; (7) The patient voluntarily participates in this study and signs the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients who have undergone surgery on the knee joint; (2) Patients with damage, wounds, or ulcers in the knee joint area; (3) Patients with severe metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and psychiatric disorders; (4) Patients with pathological deformities of the knee joint requiring knee joint surgery; (5) Pregnant and lactating women; (6) Patients whose knee pain is caused by other diseases identified through further examination; (7) Patients who cannot tolerate acupuncture treatment due to psychological factors.
