Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Those who meet the above diagnostic criteria. 2. Patients with facial paralysis whose facial function did not improve significantly (HB grade improved less than 1 grade) after 2 months of conventional treatment after onset. 3. Be between 18 and 65 years of age. 4. Patients with facial paralysis who received conventional acupuncture including electroacupuncture or acupoint catgut embedding therapy including simple acupoint catgut embedding therapy and comprehensive treatment combined with acupoint catgut embedding and other treatment methods. 5. Normal mind able to express independent opinions correctly and willing to accept follow-up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Facial nerve injury due to non-Bell's palsy and Hunt syndrome such as maxillocervical trauma brain trauma and tumor surgery. 2. Those presenting only with primary and secondary hemifacial spasm. 3. Patients with primary and secondary trigeminal neuralgia. 4. Patients who had not received catgut embedding therapy or acupuncture. 5. No specific onset time no case data vacancy and failure of follow-up.
