Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with lumbar disc herniation treated at the Spinal Surgery Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from August 2023 to October 2023 were included in this study.The inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) lumbar disc herniation patients with typical lumbar disc herniation symptoms confirmed by spinal MRI; (2) currently not participating in the exercise program; and (3) 55-65 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) inability to participate in Tai Chi exercises due to physical dysfunction, (2) patients who had received drug treatment for lumbar disc herniation within 6 months, and (3) a history of lumbar spine surgery.
