Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children scheduled for elective tonsillectomy at Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center; Aged >3 years and <12 years;ASA physical status I–II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Family members declined participation in the study; Skin lesions or infections at the acupuncture sites; Severe coagulation disorders; Preoperative use of prokinetic medications; History of prior head/neck surgery or multiple surgical procedures; History of gastrointestinal cardiac psychiatric asthma or neurological diseases.
