Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria for patients with lumbar muscle strain 1. Meet the diagnostic criteria for lumbar muscle strain; 2. Age =18 and =69 years old, gender not limited. 3. Recurrent low back pain for more than 3 months; 4. No other treatments were participated in the three weeks prior to enrollment; 5. Those who voluntarily participate in this study and sign the informed consent form. The inclusion criteria for healthy subjects 1. Age =18 and =69 years old, gender not limited; 2. There has been no pain in the lower back caused by disease or injury within half a year, and no neuromuscular lesions. 3. Those who voluntarily participate in this study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for patients with lumbar muscle strain 1. Patients with mental disorders and confusion of consciousness; 2. Women who are pregnant, lactating, or in the preconception period; 3. Combined with non-soft tissue chronic injury diseases such as lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion, spinal stenosis, and intraspinal lesions; 4. Pain caused by lumbar spine surgery, trauma, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. 5. Malignant tumors, acute infectious diseases, severe skin diseases, rheumatic and immune diseases, combined with serious heart, liver and kidney diseases; 6. During the participation in the research, other external treatment methods and drug treatments were received simultaneously; 7. Contraindications for fNIRS monitoring such as previous head surgery, head defects, and phobia of wearing a headgear. Exclusion criteria for healthy subjects 1. There is a history of diseases related to the waist and spine in the past, such as fractures, waist surgeries, intervertebral disc protrusion, etc. 2. Combined with severe heart, liver, kidney, mental, rheumatic and immune diseases; 3. Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or in the period of preparing for pregnancy. 4. Contraindications for fNIRS monitoring such as previous head surgery, head defects, and phobia of wearing a headgear.
