Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Meeting the diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine for occipital neuralgia (Western medicine: the diagnostic criteria for occipital neuralgia in the 3rd edition of the International Classification of Headache Disorders; Traditional Chinese medicine: the diagnostic criteria for headache in the "Diagnostic and Therapeutic Efficacy Criteria for Diseases and Syndromes in Traditional Chinese Medicine"); (2) Aged between 18 and 60 years old; (3) Patients with moderate pain (4 = VAS score = 6); (4) Willingly participating in this study and signing the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Pregnant and lactating women; (2) Patients with heart diseases and those with impaired liver and kidney functions; (3) Patients with coagulation disorders; (4) Patients with secondary headaches caused by reasons such as trauma, vascular diseases, infections, and diseases of the head, face and neck; (5) Patients with severe skin ulceration and those with a scar constitution; (6) Patients with mental disorders, intellectual disabilities, and those who are unable to clearly describe their conditions; (7) Secondary occipital neuralgia, such as headaches in vertebrobasilar type cervical spondylosis caused by space-occupying lesions of the cervical vertebrae and spinal canal; (8) Patients who are simultaneously participating in other clinical studies.
