Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Obese patients aged 18-60 meeting both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic criteria: Western medicine diagnostic criteria according to the Guidelines for Obesity Diagnosis and Treatment (2024) issued by the National Health Commission: BMI =28 kg/m²; TCM diagnostic criteria based on Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Internal Diseases in TCM - Pattern Section for spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction pattern in qi-blood-body fluid disorders: manifested as obesity, soft muscle tone, fatigue, limb edema, and poor appetite; (2) No use of any hormonal medications or weight-loss drugs within the past month; (3) Signed informed consent form and voluntary participation in the study. All above criteria must be met for participation in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with endocrine diseases (e.g., polycystic ovary syndrome, Cushing's syndrome, hypothyroidism, etc.); (2) Poorly controlled hypertension; combined with diabetes mellitus or severe cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases; (3) Use of contraceptive medications, antibiotics, or probiotics within the past month; (4) History of bariatric surgery or weight-loss drug therapies; (5) Allergy to mugwort leaves or moxa smoke; (6) Poor compliance rendering inability to follow the treatment protocol. Patients meeting any of the above criteria will be excluded from the study.
