Intervention Group:Inhalation of sweet orange essential oil beginning 10 minutes prior to dental treatment.
Control Group:Inhalation of purified water beginning 10 minutes prior to dental treatment.

18 Years to 60 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: 1) Patients aged between 18 and 60 years undergoing treatment for periodontal disease or dental caries; 2) Patients meeting the scoring criteria of the Modified Dental Anxiety Scale (MDAS) 3) Patients with normal auditory visual and olfactory functions 4) Patients capable of normal verbal communication 5) Patients who voluntarily participate and sign an informed consent form
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with severe systemic diseases such as cardiac cerebral hepatic renal disorders or immunodeficiency 2) Patients on long-term medication 3) Pregnant or breastfeeding women 4) Patients allergic to essential oil components 5) Patients who are currently participating in or have recently participated in other clinical studies
