18 Years to 70 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age >18 years Body mass index (BMI) 18.5-28 kg/m² Preoperative colonoscopy with pathological confirmation of diversion colitis History of protective loop ileostomy for rectal cancer without current evidence of tumor recurrence or metastasis No antibiotic use within 3 months Written informed consent was obtained.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Age <18 years History of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with pathologically confirmed colonic involvement Receipt of neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemoradiotherapy Severe chronic comorbidities including: Cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases Diabetes mellitus Chronic respiratory diseases Perioperative complications (e.g. anastomotic leakage after stoma reversal) Antibiotic use within 3 months Participation in other clinical trials within the past 3 months
