Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Age between 60 and 80 years (inclusive) gender unrestricted; 2) Scheduled for elective general anesthesia surgery with a surgical grade of IV regardless of surgical category; 3) American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification of I~III; 4) No preoperative cognitive dysfunction: Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score >20 (for primary school education) or >24 (for junior high school and above); 5) Voluntary signing of the informed consent form by the patient or their family member. Note: Subjects must meet all of the above criteria to be eligible for enrollment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Pre-existing neurodegenerative diseases stroke mild cognitive impairment vascular dementia severe mental illnesses (such as schizophrenia anxiety disorders or depression) epilepsy cranial brain injury intracranial tumors etc. that affect cognitive function before surgery; 2) Illiterate subjects; 3) Severe internal medical diseases insulin resistance in diabetes chronic obstructive pulmonary disease history of alcohol addiction before surgery; 4) Preoperative use of analgesics sedative-hypnotics antipsychotics etc. with drug dependence; 5) Accompanied by sensory impairments such as visual or auditory impairments or speech disorders; 6) Intraoperative occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents shock respiratory or cardiac arrest; 7) Surgery duration exceeding 4 hours or intraoperative blood loss exceeding 500 ml; 8) Postoperative awakening time exceeding 24 hours; 9) Postoperative complications such as hepatic encephalopathy severe bleeding infection tissue and organ failure etc.; 10) History of acupuncture experience within the past 3 months; 11)Patients with implanted pacemakers; 12)Local skin at the acupuncture site has damage skin diseases infections or bleeding tendencies; 13)Currently participating in other clinical studies. Note: Any subject who meets any of the above criteria will be excluded.
