Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) hospitalized or receiving outpatient treatment at our institution meeting the WHO (1999) diagnostic criteria for diabetes and etiological classification of diabetes. 2.Compliance with the Rome IV diagnostic criteria for constipation. 3.Aged 60–75 years. 4.Poor response to or recurrence despite conventional treatment (including laxatives and lifestyle modifications).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with organic diseases that cause constipation such as multiple sclerosis Parkinsons disease or spinal cord injury; 2.Patients with a history of gastrointestinal surgery except for appendectomy or cholecystectomy; 3.Patients with severe cardiac or pulmonary insufficiency cognitive impairment or other conditions that prevent cooperation; 4.Patients familiar with meridians and acupoints.
