40 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Diagnosed with the Western diagnostic criteria for knee osteoarthritis; (2) Diagnosed with the diagnostic criteria for abdominal obesity; (3) Aged 45-75 years (both genders); (4) Unilateral/bilateral knee joint pain with a duration of = 6 months; (5) Pain Numeric Score (NRS) = 4 in the past week; (6) Radiologic confirmation of KOA within 6 months Kellgren-Lawrence (KL) grade II or III; (7) All patients voluntarily participated in this clinical study and signed informed consent forms.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) History of knee surgery or waiting for surgery (knee replacement or arthroscopic knee surgery); (2) Knee pain caused by other diseases (autoimmune diseases/ infection /malignant tumours/ trauma /fracture/ joint loose bodies/ severe effusion of joint cavity /lumbosacral vertebrae disease gout etc.); (3) Arthroscopy within 1 year and intra-articular injection in the past 4 months; (4) Serious acute or chronic organ diseases or mental disorders; (5) Serious cardiovascular disease /liver and kidney function impairment /immune deficiency /diabetes and blood disease; (6) Local skin ulceration /allergies or infections; (7) Allergy to needles /fear of needle insertion or having a pacemaker; (8) Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
