Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for hip fracture and qi-deficiency constipation in both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine; (2) Patients aged =65 years with normal communication abilities; (3) Patients who have not received any other treatments to promote bowel movements in the week prior to the intervention; (4) Patients who have not participated in other clinical trials that may affect this study; (5) Patients who are fully informed of the content of this study, willing to cooperate, and have signed the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Multiple fractures; (2) Critical illness; (3) Severe dysfunction of the heart, liver, or kidneys, and various hemorrhagic diseases; (4) Presence of organic or functional gastrointestinal diseases, or other conditions that affect gastrointestinal function; (5) Patients with psychiatric disorders or severe cognitive impairments; (6) Patients with contraindications to acupuncture, such as those who experience needle fainting, or are allergic to adhesive tape or needles; (7) Patients with skin ulcers, infections, or other conditions at the pricking-needle site that make acupuncture inadvisable.
