test group:self-administered acupressure three times a week with acupuncture once a week for 12 weeks

40 Years to 80 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) aged between 40 (including 40) and 80 (including 80); 2) able to understand Chinese; 3) knee pain = 3 on the 0-10 point NRS pain scale; 4) having a smartphone compatible with WeChat or being able to write Chinese correctly (or a family member living together having a smartphone); 5) subjects voluntarily enrolled in this study and willing to provide informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) having a history of medical conditions such as alcohol or drug abuse that do not allow active participation; 2) having knee pain associated with other medical conditions (cancer bone fracture rheumatoid arthritis rheumatism etc.); 3) Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score of less than 22; 4) body mass index (BMI) of more than 30; 5) having a skin lesion or infection at the site of treatment; 6) knee replacement surgery; 7) be pregnant or considering pregnancy; 8) received acupressure or steroid injections within the past 3 months.
