Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with grade 1 and grade 2 hypertension who cannot afford medication and have never used antihypertensive drugs will be included in the study (it will be confirmed that they will not take antihypertensive medications during the acupuncture treatment). The age requirement for participants is 35 to 60 years and both males and females are eligible.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with gestational hypertension; Patients with secondary hypertension clearly caused by other diseases as determined through physical examination and basic laboratory tests; Patients who are excessively obese or excessively underweight (BMI > 30 or < 15); Individuals infected with HIV or malaria; Patients with known cancer or an estimated lifespan of less than 12 months.
