Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients who meet all of the following six criteria will be eligible for inclusion in this study: Diagnosis: Meet the aforementioned diagnostic criteria for Knee Osteoarthritis (KOA). Age Range: Between 40 and 75 years old. Radiographic Grading: X-ray Kellgren-Lawrence (KL) grade II or III (see Figure 2 for radiographic characteristics of KL grading). Pain Assessment: Total pain score on the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) = 4. Affected Knee Selection: If both knees meet the KOA criteria the more severely affected knee will be selected for the study. Informed Consent: Voluntary participation with a signed informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients will be excluded from this study if they meet any of the following conditions: Mechanical Support or Awaiting Surgery Due to KOA Disability: Patients receiving mechanical support treatments after disability caused by Knee Osteoarthritis (KOA) or those awaiting surgical intervention. Non-Primary Arthritis: Patients with secondary forms of arthritis such as rheumatic arthritis rheumatoid arthritis gouty arthritis ankylosing spondylitis metabolic bone disease post-infectious arthritis post-traumatic arthritis or severe osteophyte formation. Inflammatory Symptoms in Affected Joints: Patients exhibiting redness swelling heat in the affected joint systemic fever or skin erythema and induration. Skin Ulceration or Skin Diseases at Treatment Site: Patients with skin ulcers or dermatological conditions at the area designated for treatment. Conditions Affecting the Knee Joint: Patients with fibromyalgia foot deformities or other diseases that impact knee joint function. Recent Arthroscopy: Patients who have undergone arthroscopic examinations within the past 12 months. Recent Intra-Articular Injections: Patients who have received intra-articular injections in the knee within the past 6 months. Recent Massage Therapy: Patients who have received massage therapy within the past 3 months. Participation in Other Treatments or Trials: Patients who have adopted other treatment plans or participated in other clinical trials within the past 3 months. Serious Comorbid Conditions: Patients with severe cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases malignant tumors infectious diseases or mental illnesses. Pregnant or Lactating Women: Women who are pregnant breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant.
