55 Years to 79 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Subjects aged 55-80 years regardless of gender. 2)Chief complaint of cognitive decline with normal overall cognitive assessment. 3)At least 8 years of education with Mandarin as the native language. 4)Right-handed. 5)Not taking any medications that could affect cognitive function. 6)Signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Cognitive impairment due to other known causes (e.g. stroke traumatic brain injury alcohol dependence epilepsy depression Parkinson's disease or other neurological or psychiatric disorders). 2)Inability to complete cognitive assessments or MRI scans due to language impairment severe visual/hearing impairment or contraindications for MRI. 3)Nasal conditions affecting olfactory function including acute/chronic sinusitis allergic rhinitis nasal polyps etc. 4)Received acupuncture treatment within the past month or has contraindications for acupuncture.
