40 Years to 70 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) meet the diagnostic criteria for knee osteoarthritis; 2)be between 40 and 70 years old; 3) have a disease duration of 6 months or longer;4)have a Kellgren-Lawrence (K-L) grade of I to III as indicated by knee joint X-ray examination; and5) have an average Visual Analogue Score (VAS) for knee pain of 4 or higher over the past week.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) having severe comorbidities; 2) having knee joint tuberculosis, tumors, fractures, suppuration, or other acute knee joint injuries; 3) having received acupuncture treatment or joint injections within the past month; 4)being intolerant to acupuncture treatment; and 5) being pregnant or breastfeeding.
