Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: A. Meeting the diagnostic criteria for the dyslipidemia/hypercholesterolemia, and having high low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C = 3.4 mmol/L (130 mg/dL)); B. Aged between 55-65 years; C. Those understanding the trial and having signed the informed consent form. *The normal control population included should meet the following inclusion criteria: TC < 5.2mmol/L, TG < 1.7mmol/L, non-HDL-C < 3.4mmol/L, and not meet the above-mentioned diagnostic criteria for hyperlipidemia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Participants will be excluded if they meet one or more of the following criteria: A. With immune-related diseases; B. With major internal, oncological, or other significant diseases; C. In the acute phase of a cold, acute infection, or other acute illnesses, or with inflammation, scars, or trauma at the operation site, or with severe systemic infections; D. With infectious diseases such as syphilis or AIDS; E. With severe primary diseases of the hematopoietic system or abnormal coagulation function; F. Taking dietary supplements or other known lipid metabolism-affecting medications; G. Those with severe cognitive impairment or unable to cooperate; H. Receiving other treatments that may affect the evaluation of the response to this intervention; I. During breastfeeding or pregnant phase, or planning to become pregnant; J. Having received acupuncture treatment since the past six months.
