Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 18-65 years old; 2. The patients who meet the diagnostic criteria of Western medicine "depression" meet the diagnostic criteria of "depression" and "liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome"; 3. Patients with HAMD-17 score >= 17; 4. Patients who did not take antidepressant drugs at the first time; 5. Right handed subjects (according to Edinburgh Handedness scales); 6. The subjects who signed the informed consent form voluntarily participated in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have taken any antidepressants or other antipsychotics in the past have received modified electroconvulsive therapy (ECT); 2. Patients with obvious suicidal tendency assessed by specialists; 3. Patients with serious medical diseases; 4. Patients with previous history of head trauma; 5. Patients with cognitive impairment (MMSE score < 17), schizophrenia, anxiety disorder, substance abuse or other mental disorders; 6. Patients with metal implants, such as cardiac pacemaker, deep brain stimulator, vagus nerve stimulator, vascular stent, etc; 7. Patients who are willing to be pregnant or are in pregnancy or lactation.
