Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Consecutive GP surgery attenders fulfilling the following criteria: aged 16-65 years; GP intention to treat for depression or currently being treated for depression; duration of symptoms not more than six months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those suffering from psychotic illness, and those in the recovery phase of an illness.
