Interventions

Patients will be randomised to a back rehabilitation programme, based on the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy, or written information appropriate for patients with persistent back pain.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Consultation with General Practitioner (GP) with a new episode of back pain 2. Still have disabling back pain after 3 months
