Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Unstable ankle fracture 2. Aged over 60 years, either sex
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Open fractures 2. Multiple injuries 3. Type 1 diabetes 4. Active leg ulceration 5. Critical leg ischaemia 6. Unfit for anaesthesia
