Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Displaced proximal humerus fractures. All these cases of proximal humerus fractures either met the indications for operative treatment outlined by Neer or were considered unstable when tested for passive motion with an image intensifier. 2. Aged 36 to 77 years old

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with pathological fractures 2. Head split fractures 3. Open fractures 4. Fractures with primary neurovascular damage 5. Multiple fractures 6. Cases lost to follow-up were excluded from the study
