Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Confirmed diagnosis with RA according to the 2010 European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) and American College of Rheumatology (ACR) classification criteria 2. Adult patients (>18 years of age) 3. Initiated with a new disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) (either new onset of RA or in need of new therapy) 4. Included in the Swedish Rheumatology Quality Register at baseline 5. Access to and know how to use a smartphone 6. Read, speak and understand Swedish

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. If the treating physician/nurse or other healthcare staff assessed that the patient could be harmed by participating – e.g. in the form of increased anxiety about disease symptoms
